Who are we
The child and family bereavement team, covering the county of Lincolnshire. We are a qualified team, adhering to professional standards and codes of ethics, which includes child and family bereavement nurse specialists with play specialist and youth worker.
What we do
We help children and young people, under the age of 19 years old, and their families in understanding their thoughts and feelings as they navigate the impact of illness and bereavement whilst offering a confidential safe space.
We do this through active listening, offering emotional support and the use of creative therapeutic techniques, encouraging children and young people to express themselves. The service enables families to talk to someone, completely impartial, who is not directly involved in their care.
How to Make a Referral
We accept referrals from any professionals who know of families who meet our service criteria. Families meeting our criteria can also refer themselves via telephone.
Please contact the service prior to referral.
A referral form MUST be completed. Families must have given consent prior to referrals being made. Referrals can be posted or e-mailed to: [email protected]
