Getting to Grantham and District Hospital

Grantham and District Hospital is located near to the north of the town centre, about a 10 minute walk away. It is easily accessible on foot along Manthorpe Road.

By road

The hospital is situated on Manthorpe Road and is clearly signposted from all major routes.
Plan your journey by road on Google Maps

If you are dropping someone off at the hospital we have allocated drop off points, located outside A&E and the tower block.

Please note: These are 20 minute only drop-off zones.

By public transport

As there is limited parking on site we encourage our staff, patients and visitors to use public transport where possible.

Travelling by bus

Plan your bus journey using the journey planner on Traveline.

By bike

We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and promoting sustainable modes of transport. To achieve this, we have dedicated cycle and motorcycle parking areas for members of the public to use. Motorbikes can be parked in the main car park area opposite A&E and bicycles can be parked at the outpatient entrance.

Patient transport

If you have a medical condition that genuinely prevents you from using public or your own transport, you may be eligible for patient transport.

Living within Lincolnshire

If you require transport and live in Lincolnshire, please contact NSL on 0843 357 1556 who will then check your eligibility for patient transport.

Living outside of Lincolnshire

All other patients living outside Lincolnshire should speak to their own GP practice about their transport requirements. Some GP practices also offer a volunteer driver service to transport patients to their outpatient appointments at our hospitals. Please check with your local GP to see if they provide this service. You can find out who your local practise is by using the NHS GP location service.
