Cardiology

Cardiology deals with disorders of the heart. It can involve both out-patient and in-patient care, including diagnostic tests and investigations including emergency care of patients with heart attacks, heart failure and disturbances in heart rhythm.

Cancer

These services are provided in a range of different places, including GP surgeries, district hospitals, in larger specialist hospitals and in patients’ own homes.

Breast surgery

Breast surgery is carried out at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, Grantham and District Hospital and Lincoln County Hospital. Outpatient consultations are also delivered at County Hospital, Louth.

Breast screening

The Lincolnshire breast screening service offers breast screening by appointment for women aged between 50-70.

Bowel cancer screening

The bowel cancer screening programme aims to detect bowel cancer at an early stage.
