Cardiology deals with disorders of the heart. It can involve both out-patient and in-patient care, including diagnostic tests and investigations including emergency care of patients with heart attacks, heart failure and disturbances in heart rhythm.
These services are provided in a range of different places, including GP surgeries, district hospitals, in larger specialist hospitals and in patients’ own homes.
