This month we’re focussing on staff nurses in A&E at Pilgrim, Lincoln and Grantham.
Our emergency departments see around 162,000 patients each year. We are currently redesigning services and expanding as we are experiencing high levels of demand.
Within this role you will be based in the emergency department and will be working within the multi-disciplinary environment. You will be responsible for looking after a variety of emergency conditions, including resuscitation, trauma, minor injury, paediatrics and mental health.
You must be a registered nurse with post registration experience within an acute emergency/medical/surgical area and have experience of working in acute assessment. You will be actively encouraged to develop extended competencies in cannulation, venepuncture, catheterisation and ECG recording. You must have good organizational skills and have an understanding of emergency clinical management and emergency patient flow.
