Lincoln, Pilgrim and Grantham hospitals will run the Perfect Week again soon. It is no longer taking placed from Monday 5 March to Sunday 11 March and new dates will be announced shortly.
The idea is to improve patient experiences by getting those patients who are well enough back home as soon as they are ready for discharge. The perfect week will effectively press the reset button.
During a previous perfect week in February 2016, the number of patients discharged before midday increased, we treated 85 more day case patients and reduced the number of operations we cancelled by 36% compared to the previous week.
Like before, a big focus will be on ensuring that patients who are well enough to be discharged leave the hospital in the morning and free up beds for those who need them.
Executive team and senior managers will be freeing up their diaries for daily reviews, to help resolve problems and walk around the wards. We need your support too. What can you do?
