The Intouch Appointment Manager app has been launched for Boston, Grantham, Lincoln and Louth hospitals, meaning patients no longer have to queue to check in on arrival.
Ian Haywood, Outpatients Operational Services Manager for United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, said: “We’re working to make it as quick and easy as possible for patients attending our hospitals to check in for their appointments.
“Patients can download the Intouch Appointment Manager app to their personal smartphone before coming to the hospital, and use it to check in once they arrive within the hospital building, avoiding any potential queue. Patients can utilise their own data plan, or alternatively connect to the hospital’s free NHS WiFi.
“Our friendly reception staff will also remain available to help those who prefer to check in face-to-face.”
The app is available for iOS and android devices.
For iOS devices, visit the App Store and search for Intouch Appointment Manager. For Android devices, visit Google Play and search for Intouch Appointment Manager.
Patients should log into the app when they arrive at hospital. The hospital location will only show on the app upon arrival to the site.
Patients without a smartphone can still check in with a member of the reception team.
