We are pleased to announce that the Lincolnshire Breast Screening Service has now resumed after being suspended in March due to COVID-19.

If you had a screening appointment cancelled earlier in the year, you should expect to receive a new appointment in the coming weeks; then we will invite women aged between 50 to 70 years of age for their routine appointments.

Due to new national guidelines we are currently not able to accept self referrals from women aged 71yrs and over.  Women should remain breast aware and if they are worried about anything or have any breast symptoms they should see their GP who can refer them to a breast unit for further investigations. You can find out more by visiting: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/breast-cancer/symptoms/.

Currently, breast screening appointments will only be offered on our mobile units that are based at the Pilgrim Hospital, Boston and County Hospital, Lincoln. As our mobile units do not have disabled access, ladies with mobility problems will be given an appointment within the breast unit at either the Pilgrim Hospital, Boston or County Hospital, Lincoln.

For further information please contact the breast screening administration team on 01522 573999 or email [email protected] or visit https://www.ulh.nhs.uk/services/breast-screening/.
