What do you like best about your job?

I like being retired as now I choose what to do and when!

What was the first record you ever bought?

Hang Down Your Head Tom Dooley by Kingston Trio first released in 1958

Who or what inspires you?

Those who have the tenacity to strive on despite whatever difficulties they face.

Name one thing you couldn’t live without?

My health

How would your friends and colleagues describe you?

Fair, a sense of humour and with strong principles and values.

Which three people, living or dead, would you invite to a dinner party and why?

Rowan Atkinson, Billy Connolly and John Cleese because they’re all comedians and it would be a laugh.

Who had the greatest influence on your career?

My Dad, who said to me when I was 16, whatever you do in life make sure that you always maintain your integrity to the highest standard, say what you mean and mean what you say!

What’s your favourite sport?

Golf

If you could have any superpower what would it be?

Make peace in the world for everyone

What was the last thing that made you smile?

I don’t remember, I try to see the funny side of many things.

What talent do you wish you had?

Play music by ear, and not have to follow the dots!

What’s your favourite book?

I seldom read so I don’t have any. My relaxation comes from playing music on a keyboard, anything from light classical to pop, rock, swing and jazz

If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you take with you?

A whistle, a light and a mobile phone!  I don’t want to stay long!

How would you like to be remembered?

Fun, fair and always willing to help others!
