Earlier this month our Talent Academy hosted an inaugural countywide careers event at the University of Lincoln’s Engine Shed venue.

The event was staged to showcase the variety of jobs and careers currently available within the NHS and wider healthcare community across the county and attracted around 800 visitors, including students, stakeholders and interested members of the public.

There were a number of stands promoting departments within ULHT including resuscitation services, undergraduate medical education, operating department practitioners and nursing, as well as general information available on current Trust vacancies and how to access training.

Claire Flavell, ULHT’s strategic lead for the Lincolnshire Talent Academy said it was a great way to showcase our services.

“This was the first time the county had brought together such a large number of stakeholders across our health and care system,” said Claire.

“Unbeknown to many, the sector is a vibrant and positive area to work in, with significant opportunities for individuals to develop and progress their careers.

“Our event provided us with the platform to showcase the variety of careers available and to raise the profile of our stakeholders.

“We have so much to be proud of within Lincolnshire and the feedback received to date has been overwhelmingly positive.  We shall definitely be looking to host the event again in 2018.”
