Elaine Baylis, Chair of Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG) will be leaving her role at the end of March 2026, as she reaches the end of her appointment, having served the maximum term permitted.

Elaine has been with LCHG since its inception, and before then served as Chair of both Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (ULTH) and therefore is a well-known figure across Lincolnshire.

To ensure continuity, Group Deputy Chair, Rebecca Brown will step into the role as Acting Group Chair for a six month period, beginning on Wednesday 1 April 2026.

This will provide the opportunity to conduct a thorough recruitment process to appoint a new substantive Group Chair later in the year.
Group CEO Professor Karen Dunderdale said: “Elaine has been an exceptional leader and a true advocate for both our patients and our staff.

“Her dedication, warmth, and vision have shaped our organisation in so many positive ways. Many colleagues and patients have seen first-hand her commitment to listening, supporting, and championing the incredible work we do every day in the NHS across Lincolnshire.

“We wish to thank her for her outstanding contribution and the difference she has made to healthcare provision for the people of Lincolnshire, and wish her well for the future.”
