Christmas card appeal for hospital patients – help to send some festive cheer

Being in hospital at any time of the year can be difficult, but particularly over the festive period, which is why local hospitals are inviting Lincolnshire children to once again make cards for patients this Christmas.

United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust welcome as many cards as possible to be sent to them by Monday 11 December. Cards will then be distributed to patients across Grantham, Lincoln and Boston hospitals in the week leading up to Christmas.

The Christmas cards need to be:

  • A5 in size
  • Pictures on the cards should be drawn, painted or coloured in as they cannot include any items that may fall off.

Patient Experience Manager, Sharon Kidd, said: “Our patients are at the heart of everything we do at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust and we want to carry on our tradition of having handmade cards from children to hand out to our patients in the lead up to Christmas.

“We would like to thank everyone for the incredible support with cards over the last few years. All of your time and effort really has made a difference to our patients and staff.”

Please send any creations to: Christmas Cards for Patients, Patient Experience Team, Grantham Hospital, 101 Manthorpe Road, Grantham, Lincolnshire, NG31 8DG.

Parcels can also be dropped off at the main receptions at Lincoln County Hospital and Pilgrim Hospital, Boston.
