A new outreach session will enable people living in and around the area to access regular information and support about cancer, and caring for someone with cancer.

Starting this month, trained staff from the Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Service at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust will be at the Boots store on Holbeach High Street on the last Wednesday of every month.

From 10am to 12pm, staff from the Macmillan service will be on hand to offer advice and provide information on a range of topics related to cancer.

Fran Sharp, Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Service Lead, said: “We run similar sessions across the county and are delighted to be able to offer this to the people of Holbeach. It’s important that this support is available for local patients, their families and carers.

“We also have three hospital-based cancer information and support centres at hospitals in Lincoln, Boston and Grantham where people can drop in or call for advice.”

The sessions will take place on:

The last Wednesday of every month (starting Wednesday 30 January)
Boots Store, 27 High Street, Holbeach, PE12 7DY
10am to 12pm
