A ward at Lincoln County hospital has received a kind donation of over £650 to help enhance the experience of children and young people.

Lincolnshire Police donated money raised from their annual Christmas carol service held at Lincoln Cathedral to the ward as one of their beneficiaries for this year.

The donation will be used to increase what’s on offer in the playroom on the ward with new equipment for older children who may be in hospital.

Inspector Jez Kumar said, “It’s a real pleasure for us to make this donation to the Rainforest ward from our Christmas Carol Service. The staff are all amazing and do a wonderful job helping all those they come into contact with. The support they provide does not go unrecognised and is very much appreciated.”

Tracey Lingard, ward manager said, “This is a lovely donation and it is wonderful for the children who attend the ward. It is really great to hear about the difference we make to families and we know this will go a long way to really enhancing the experience of both children and their parents.”
