What do you like best about your job?

I love the variety that my job brings, working with great people and doing good things for patients

What was the first record you ever bought?

Erm Wombling Merry Christmas but shh.

Who or what inspires you?

There are so many inspirational people in my life I couldn’t even begin to single someone out. What really inspires me is when you see people shine and develop, I find that really inspirational.

Name one thing you couldn’t live without?

My husband – corny or what.

How would your friends and colleagues describe you?

Loyal, honest and kind

Which three people, living or dead, would you invite to a dinner party and why?

Margaret Thatcher, my dad and my husband.

Who had the greatest influence on your career?

A community midwife called Joy Turford back in the 1990s

What’s your favourite sport?

Dressage

If you could have any superpower what would it be?

Time travel

What was the last thing that made you smile?

Interviewing John Boulton today and to see how well he performed. Cracking.

What talent do you wish you had?

I wish my mouth had a natural smile.

It changes all the time. This week I am playing a lot of the Stone Roses

What is your greatest achievement?

My children, Tom aged 26 and Sam aged 24 – I was young when I had them.

My bedroom

If you could change one thing about where you work what would it be?

I would fill all the nursing vacancies.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you take with you?

My husband and my dogs – Colin and Roobie who are sausage dogs

How would you like to be remembered?

I’d just like to be remembered I think?
