Hearing Lincolnshire’s ‘hidden voices’ – equality engagement

In May 2018 United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust and NHS Lincolnshire East Clinical Commissioning Group innovated the Hearing Lincolnshire’s ‘hidden voices’ engagement events, as a way to provide people from smaller and often lesser heard community groups a meaningful way of sharing their experience of the local NHS.

United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust, along with other NHS Providers in Lincolnshire, work closely with the Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) to hear from less-heard groups and individuals in our communities.

Building on the success of the “Hearing Hidden Voices” events which took place in 2019, equality engagement restarted in 2022 after a pause during 2020 & 2021. With the aim of reaching even more patients and service users who may not be able to attend groups or events, a survey “Experiences of Using NHS Services” is currently underway, in partnership with our ICB Engagement Team. You can access the survey on Qualtrics. Face-to-face engagement has also restarted out in Lincolnshire’s towns, villages and community groups, wherever safely possible.

If you would like to get involved, highlighting issues affecting your community or a group with which you identify in relation to your local NHS services, please visit the ICB website.
