The Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) department is responsible for coordinating the training and education of junior doctors who are undergoing Foundation or specialty training. The department ensures that trainees receive the necessary support and guidance to become competent and skilled practitioners in their chosen field. The department is responsible for ensuring that trainees meet the educational standards set out by regulatory bodies such as the General Medical Council (GMC), provides support and guidance to trainees, and evaluates their progress towards certification and licensure.
