Promoting and supporting Armed Forces Reservists and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers

Armed Forces Reservists and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers bring a wealth of experience and skills to the organisation and we recognise that this contributes to the delivery of safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led patient care

At the Trust we are proud to employ and support Armed Forces reservists and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers.

Armed Forces Reservists and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers bring a wealth of experience and skills to the organisation and we recognise that this contributes to the delivery of safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led patient care.

As a Trust, we actively seek to support our Reservists and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers, by providing 10 days extra paid leave to aid with time away on training camps and courses.’

Our reservists have full access to an occupational health service to which they can self-refer in a confidential manner.

Through the Trust’s Armed Forces Staff Network we would actively seek to buddy / mentoring our reservists in preparation for, during and upon return from deployment, should this be appropriate.

From February 2018 the Trust started active promotion of the Armed Forces Reserves with members of the 212 Field Hospital. These events were very positive and we hope to continue that collaboration over the coming months and years.  Further to our work with 212 Field Hospital, we also have a close relationship with 4 (Lincolnshire) Company, The 3rd Battalion, The Royal Anglian Regiment, who along with 2 Operational Support Group RLC, have supported several joint events with our Trust throughout 2022.
