Our Work Well Plan

The Work Well Plan is about making this organisation a great place to work.

The Work Well Plan is about making this organisation a great place to work. A place where people feel welcome, supported, included and able to do their best. Over the next four years, it will help us focus on five things: joining well, growing well, working well, belonging well and staying well.Work Well Plan

Our aim is straightforward: to support, develop and keep brilliant people.

Every day, colleagues across our Group bring so much care, kindness, skill and commitment to patients, families and communities across Lincolnshire.

And when you feel valued, listened to and supported, it really does make a difference. It helps you do your best, feel part of the team and feel proud of the work we do together.

That’s what this plan is all about. From someone’s first day with us, right through their career, we want people to have the support, opportunities and working environment they need to feel well, grow and thrive.

The plan focuses on five simple areas:

  • Join Well is about helping new colleagues feel welcome, ready and supported from day one.

  • Grow Well is about giving everyone the chance to learn, build confidence, try new things and develop in a way that works for them.

  • Work Well is about making day-to-day work easier, with better systems, clearer ways of working, good team planning and support from managers.

  • Belong Well is about making sure people feel included, safe to speak up and able to be themselves at work.

  • Stay Well is about looking after people’s health and wellbeing, and making this a place where colleagues want to stay, grow and keep making a difference.

Our ambition is simple but significant: “to develop, empower and retain great people” creating the conditions in which every colleague can thrive.

This means attracting and welcoming people well, enabling them to grow and develop, creating the right conditions to work effectively, fostering a strong sense of belonging, and supporting health, wellbeing and fulfilment throughout their careers with LCHG. These commitments are brought together through our five pillars – Join Well, Grow Well, Work Well, Belong Well and Stay Well – which provide a clear, shared framework for action.
