Working on a contractual basis, we work with employers to help support staff who develop health problems and promote healthy lifestyle choices to their workforce.

Our service

Our occupational health service supports the needs of around 14,000 staff working across Lincolnshire Community and Hospital Group and can offer support to external organisations depending on their specific needs.

Out team consists of:

  • Doctors and consultants
  • Specialist and non-specialist nurses
  • Occupational health technicians
  • Administrative support team
  • Psychological service

Our service adheres to the Faculty of Occupational Medicine standards for good practice, and is working towards Safe, Effective and Quality Occupational Health Service (SEQOHS) accreditation.

Please note this is a contractual service offered to external organisations and does not take NHS referrals. Services provided will be dependent on contractual agreements, so please check with your employer what they offer.

 

What we can include

Preplacement questionnaires – health questionnaire screening and a follow-up consultation with a clinician required, assessment for fitness for specific tasks immunisation screening

In-work health assessments, referrals and reports (sickness absence management) – fitness for work assessment, return-to-work plans, case management, ill-health retirement assessment, musculoskeletal assessments

Health Surveillance – work ionising radiation, noise at work (audiometry), respiratory(spirometry), skin

Workplace immunisations and serology tests – contamination incident post-expose support, screening and vaccinations to maximise employee and patient protection

Inoculation and contamination injury – exposure injuries by cutting, pricking the skin, human bite that breaks the skin or splash injuries to mucosal membrane of the eyes, nose or mouth

Locations

Our services are available in designed Occupational Health areas at Lincoln County Hospital, Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, Grantham and District Hospital. Each site has waiting areas, clinical and non-clinical rooms.
