Our specialist breast pain clinic supports patients across Lincolnshire who experience breast pain.
If you are suffering from breast pain, please make an appointment with your GP who will be able to support you and provide access to the specialist breast pain clinic if that is the right course of action.
What happens at the breast pain clinic?
During the Breast Pain Clinic appointment, a family history breast cancer risk assessment is completed, according to NICE guidelines. This will improve the early detection of any significant breast cancer family history. The service will also provide you with information about breast pain and the possible treatments for the pain.
What about cancer?
If at any time the risk of a cancer is noted, then there are mechanisms for our patients to be transferred to the two week wait cancer pathway where appropriate and timely treatment can be accessed.
