Bone densitometry and fracture liaison service

We provide secondary prevention for fragility fractures by completing bone health assessments and providing the gold standard bone mineral density scans.

“Capture the fracture”

We provide secondary prevention for fragility fractures by completing bone health assessments and providing bone mineral density scans. We also offer bone health advice and therapy compliance help and assessments.

A bone density scan is a simple, fast and accurate test which uses low dose X-Rays to measure the density of bones

This is the gold standard for measuring bone mineral density. This provides an accurate result both as a diagnostic test and is also used to monitor response to prescribed bone therapy. The bone density reports are generated by our senior dedicated team immediately following attendance.

The fracture liaison service provides the opportunity to complete a bone health and falls assessment which continues to support patients if they are prescribed bone therapy. This can be done via telephone or attendance at outpatient clinics to achieve the best possible outcome and reduce future fracture risk.

We provide direct contact with our small and dedicated team to patients and other health care professionals. Clinical support is provided by our Osteoporosis Advisory Board.
