Kingfisher Unit

Welcome to the Kingfisher Unit. We are a children’s outpatients unit with a small friendly team who will make you feel most welcome and comfortable when you are here.

When you come to visit us, you will most likely come for one of three things; see one of our doctors, have a Qbtest or have a blood test. None of these are scary and we will do everything we can to make sure you feel safe and welcomed when you arrive.

Our little team consists of three healthcare support workers, Mason, Emma and Linda and our nurses Kay and Ashley who if you are visiting a doctor or coming for a Qbtest will measure your height, weight and blood pressure to make sure you are growing properly and healthy.

If you would like to you can watch our video below on our blood clinic, which will show you exactly what is going to happen so there are no secrets or uncertainties upon your arrival.

If you are not having a blood test, after your observations have been completed you can relax in the playroom until someone calls you through!
