Grantham and District Hospital

Grantham and District Hospital serves the communities of Grantham and the local area.

Urgent and Emergency Care

If you are in need of urgent care including minor illness and injury, support is available at Grantham and District Hospital via the 24 hour Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC).

The UTC is open seven days per week, offering an extensive range of assessment and treatment that meets the needs of the local population, including diagnostic capabilities and a variety of skilled staff compared to other UTCs in the county.

This service can treat a wide range of conditions which are not critical or life threatening such as sprains and strains, suspected broken limbs and feverish illness in adults and children. The UTC also provides access to imaging and is able to refer to the new integrated community and acute medical service provided jointly with our partners at Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS).

In addition to the services offered at the UTC, clinical assessment and immediate treatment can be provided for patients awaiting transfer of care at other hospitals.
