ULHT works really hard to recognise the hard work and dedication of its staff.

On Thursday 3 May 2018, almost 200 members of staff and patients from a wide range of roles across the Trust attended the annual ULHT staff awards at the EPIC Centre, Lincolnshire Showground which was hosted by BBC Radio Lincolnshire’s Melvyn Prior.

There were 12 award categories including awards for outstanding leader, unsung hero, research and innovation and great patient experience.

On the night, each highly commended and overall award winner was presented with a trophy or certificate by a member of the Trust Board, a patient representative or sponsor.

This year saw a record number of nominations with 792 received in total, all showcasing the fantastic quality of care that is given to patients and colleagues in Lincolnshire’s hospital.

A raffle held on the evening also raised £790 to help fund next year’s event as the whole awards are funded entirely by sponsorship and charitable funds. Read about the winners here.

Examples of Excellence

Examples of Excellence was launched on Friday 4 May 2018 providing an opportunity for everyone to recognise and value colleagues. Everyone can celebrate another ULHT staff member, this could be for covering some extra hours required or for being that person whose positivity makes it enjoyable to come to work.

In just a few minutes staff can select a certificate (six available), and send it to colleagues after filling out the relevant information. The certificate will then arrive in the recipients inbox – a nice little piece of positive feedback really helps to improve motivation and morale.
