Membership newsletter for United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust for March 2016. Contents include:

Advertising the next set of members Locailty Forum meetings, taking place at each of four hospital sites during April. These will provide an opportunity to find out more about what’s going on within the Trust, and a chance to input into our reputatiomn survey.

Ways in which members can become more involved with the Trust by taking part in a training programme to become patient representatives. Opportunities for this month include taking part in Patient Led Assessment of the Care Environment (PLACE) inspections and taking part in a programme of training to sit as a paitient representative on job interview panels.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of a new chair to our Board, Dean Fathers, who started work on 7 March.
As well as being a successful chair of another NHS trust, Dean is an honorary professor in the practice of healthcare management at Cass Business School, a visiting professor at Leeds Business School’s centre for governance, and a professional fellow with the Institute of Mental Health.

A nurse consultant from ULHT has been named Pressure Care Nurse of the Year at one of the nursing profession’s most prestigious awards, The British Journal of Nursing Awards.
Mark Collier, Tissue Viability Nurse Consultant, was recognised for the development of PUNT (Pressure Ulcer Notification Tool) a unique online system that allows clinical staff to report and review reliable pressure ulcer data for inpatients.
