In order to ensure we continue to provide the best patient care possible the Trust has made the decision to increase car parking charges for patients and visitors to our hospitals.

We are currently experiencing significant financial pressures and rather than reduce investment in patient services and in order to continue the upkeep and maintenance of all our car parks, we have decided to slightly increase the cost of parking.

Parking charges have not increased at ULHT since 2014 and the small rises put prices in line with local government rate increases and still remain competitive and below most other NHS Trusts in the region.

The price increases are minimal – up 20p for one hour’s parking, 50p extra to park for up to four hours and 60p more to park for over four hours’ at a time.  There is also a 20p increase for blue badge holders.

The changes will come into effect from 1 December 2017.

Duration Existing charges New charges
Up to 1 hour £1.40 £1.60
1-4 hours £3.40 £3.90
Over 4 hours £4.00 £4.60
Blue badge holders £1.50 £1.70
