We’re delighted to confirm that we have been successful in securing an additional £26.6 million in capital funds specifically for fire safety improvements across our hospitals throughout 2018/19.

This is in addition to the £9.5 million we’d already received for 2017/18.

Work is now well underway across Lincoln County Hospital as we continue t with our fire safety improvements, in addition to work starting in the tower block at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston.

The Pilgrim programme commenced from Monday 16 April and will continue into May, including replacement fire doors in the staircase and asbestos removal in designated electrical cupboards.

Work on the staircase doors will take place throughout the night, between 5pm and 3am, in addition to asbestos removal on ward 8B over the following weeks.

All staff are also encouraged to book on to a fire evacuation training session if they are yet to do so. Email [email protected] for more information.
