5 minutes with…Andy McDowall, portering section leader

Who or what inspires you? Watching live comedy and getting the best and seeing the best in people/teams.

Name one thing you couldn’t live without? Holidays in the sun with a pint of San Miguel and my wonderful family.

Which three people, living or dead, would you invite to a dinner party and why? Micky Flannigan, Peter Kay, Drew Barrymore because three funny people and it would be non-stop laughter from start to finish.

If you could have any superpower what would it be? Invisibility.

What was the last thing that made you smile? My son, Jack getting his new kit ready for his first football match for Ancaster – he was so proud.

What talent do you wish you had? Be able to sing in tune.

What is your greatest achievement? Becoming a dad to two fabulous kids plus my portering team winning the caring together award at the Staff Awards in May 2017.

Where is your favourite place in the world?  West coast of California.

What’s your favourite book? Defiant Story of Prisoner of War in Vietnam by Alvin Townley.

How would you like to be remembered?

Good sense of humour, caring and putting others first.
