Ross was awarded his Dental Degree at Newcastle University in 1987. He then worked in Oral Surgery and General Practice before travelling around the world, during which he was an out-back dentist in Australia and also worked on remote desert islands in the Indian Ocean. He returned to Scotland as a School Dentist and also took a Master’s Degree in Dental Public Health from Dundee University in 1995. He gained his Fellowship in Dentistry in 1996 from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, for which he is now an Examiner. Ross returned to Newcastle and the North East to undertake his Orthodontic Specialty Training, gaining another Master’s Degree in 1999, and his Membership and Specialist List qualification in 2000. He then joined ULHT and has worked at clinics and hospitals across the county. Ross provides treatment at Louth and Lincoln and also is involved in Orthodontic Therapist training. He also has been an interviewer for the new Lincoln University Medical Degree course.
