Emily is a part-time Consultant Orthodontist at Lincoln County Hospital, specialising in correction of jaw disharmony; cleft lip and palate; and missing, buried and impacted teeth. Emily completed her dental degree at Newcastle University in 2006, and went on to do a few years in dental practice and hospital with experience in all aspects of dentistry, including paediatric dentistry and maxillofacial surgery. She then completed a three-year specialist training post in Orthodontics at Lincoln County Hospital and Charles Clifford Dental Hospital, Sheffield and joined the GDC Specialist Register as an Orthodontist in 2013. Since then she has undertaken a further two-year training post to gain experience in the management of complex orthodontic cases including those which require multidisciplinary care in conjunction with the Maxillofacial Consultants and Regional Cleft Team. This experience allowed her to attain her Intercollegiate Surgical Fellowship Examination in 2016 and she is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the British Orthodontic Society. Emily now works part-time as a Consultant Orthodontist at Lincoln County Hospital where she is involved in treating multidisciplinary cases and training Orthodontic Specialists. In addition she is involved with training of local dentists and has organized courses for dental professionals and presented a number of lectures both locally and regionally. She is also Chair of the Trent Consultant Orthodontic Group and Audit Lead for Orthodontics within ULHT.
