I have worked in Community Paediatrics in Lincolnshire for the last 25 years.
I’m trained in Griffiths Developmental scales, ADIR (Autism Diagnostic Interview revised )and ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedules), Movement ABC and Beery Buktinika tests of visuo-motor integration.
I have a particular interest in ADHD, designed and deliver specialist ADHD treatment clinics, write local guidelines and ensure we are compliant with NICE Guidance. Designed and delivered a rapid response service for SUDIC in Lincolnshire. Provide weekly triage with CAMHS for children referred to Community Paediatrics.
Provide assessment for children aged 0-16 years referred into our service to gain accurate diagnosis and appropriate advice to parents, education and social services. This involves close liaison with nurseries and schools, Therapy services, CAMHS, Childrens services and all other professionals involved in the care of a child. The aim is to provide a holistic assessment taking into account all the relevant information in order to understand the impact of each part and support a childs individual needs. In recent years the majority of the referrals into our service are for assessment of complex behaviour disorders. To offer treatment where indicated and follow up to the age of 19 years where appropriate.
In addition to my clinical responsibilities from 2008-2014 I was also Head of Service for Community Paediatrics. I participate in teaching programs for under and post graduates in my area of specialty and contribute to audit.
