Making a donation

You can choose how you would like to help

United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust provides a wide range of health services across the whole of Lincolnshire.

Our services are financed from central Government taxes and we strive to provide the highest level of service to our patients from the funding we receive. However, the demands on our services are unrelenting and donations make an important difference.

When giving a donation you can decide what you would like your money to be spent on, such as the purchase of equipment for a particular ward or department. Alternatively, your gift could be to the general charity fund of the Trust or to a particular ward, department or hospital. This allows our staff greater flexibility in how we use your money and means that the money goes where our staff feel the need is greatest.

Hospital General Fund

Donations to your chosen hospital's General Charity Fund are used to add extra comforts and enhancements to that hospital. A team of staff from your hospital decide where the money would be best spent.

Ward or department

Each ward or department has its own charity fund and the staff of each ward and department are able to decide on the items that should be purchased for their area.

Donations

You are able to request that your donation will be used to benefit a particular ward or department or alternatively a general donation where we decide how to allocate the monies to where the need is greatest.

There are a number of ways in which you may make a donation:-

By post

Cheques should be made payable to ULHT Charitable Funds and sent to the Cashiers Department, Lincoln County Hospital, Greetwell Road, Lincoln, LN2 5QY.

In person

You may pass your gift to a member of staff in the ward or department who will issue you with a receipt.

Gift Aid

Gift Aid is a Government scheme which enables us to claim back 25p from the Inland Revenue for every £1 donated at no additional cost to the donor. This would make your donation even more valuable to us.

To gift aid our donation you just need to complete the donation form in full.

For more information about Gift Aid please click to go to our Gift Aid section

In the event that monies are received in the post then the recipients may wish to write to the individual donor to ask them to complete a gift aid declaration. The following document should be used to do this.
