Foundation Trust

We have begun the process of applying to become an NHS Foundation Trust. This is a new type of NHS organisation that is more accountable to the public. We will have more flexibility to ensure that all the services we provide are those most suited to our local population.

We carried out our public consultation between January and March 2009, including a series of staff and public consultation events. A report on the outcome of the public consultation can be seen using the link on the right.

There is also the opportunity to apply to become a member online, please apply to become one of our members to have more of a say on how we develop our services in future. Staff do not need to complete an application form but we would appreciate it if they could help us spread the message and help sign up members- including family and friends.
