About us
The Department of Research & Development (R&D) aims to provide up-to-date advice and a wide range of support and services for the promotion of high quality commercial and non-commercial research in the areas of clinical and scientific relevance across the ULH NHS Trust.
The role of the R&D Department is to provide a ‘one stop shop’ with a number of management and support services for research and researchers.
All research, which takes place in or has links with the Trust, MUST NOT start without written approval from the R & D Department (i.e. any research project, which involves ULH staff, human subjects, patients, patient data and/or their tissues/samples, ULH premises/facilities, needs approval from the R&D Department prior to commencement).
If you would like to apply for ULH R&D Department approval to carry out your research within ULH please contact the R&D Department directly by email or telephone, for advice and guidance.
If you have any suggestions and comments about our new web site, or would like to contact us concerning research activities or services, please e-mail elaine.dery@ulh.nhs.uk. We would like to promote public involvement in NHS research. Please include your contact details within your e-mail (name, address, telephone and fax). Thank you.
