Medical facilities in South Lincolnshire
General practice is of a very high standard locally. Many of the practices are rural and have close links with their patients.
Pilgrim Hospital is of modern, spacious design, accommodating 547 beds. Recent developments include a new A&E Department, with purpose-built accommodation for the local out-of-hours service, a new Psychiatry Department, a new Breast Unit, MRI scanner, expanded day-care facilities and laboratories. There is an active and expanding Centre for Medical and Dental Education.
Rotational hospital posts attached to the scheme are based at Pilgrim Hospital which is a friendly, busy (but not frantic) hospital with a pleasant atmosphere and very good facilities.
