Access keys

Access keys allow you to use your keyboard to quickly view core pages of a website providing an alternative form of navigation where this is supported. This United Lincolnshire Hospitals website uses the UK Government access keys standard - where the content is present - as described below.

To use these access keys you will either need to press and hold Alt (if you are using Windows-based system), or Ctrl (if you are using a Macintosh system). Whilst holding the appropriate key, press the relevant access key as described above and then release. Most modern web browsers (Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc) will require you to finally press the return or enter key before you are directed to the appropriate page. Please note that you should use the number keys from the main keyboard area not the Number Pad (if fitted).  In addition, Firefox version 2.0 now uses Shift-Alt rather than just Alt to activate the access keys.
