The Bostonian is the private wing of Pilgrim hospital and is set in its own grounds and gardens. It is the only private hospital facility in Lincolnshire where profits are returned to the NHS for the benefit of all local patients. Patients enjoy privacy and individual attention whilst having the reassurance that The Bostonian is adjacent to the sophisticated services of the Pilgrim hospital, with its expert diagnostic and emergency medical/surgical facilities. Almost any condition can be treated at The Bostonian by our dedicated team of professionals - most of our consultants live only minutes away.

Within the Bostonian there are three consulting rooms, a treatment room, a pre-assessment room and 18 single rooms with en suite facilities and nurse call system. Each bedroom has a telephone and High Definition LCD television with complimentary access to Sky Sports and a number of other satellite channels. All rooms have sliding patio doors and most have direct access to one of two quadrangle gardens. These gardens provide a quiet environment for gentle exercise or relaxation on the garden benches.

For the benefit of patients and staff, smoking is not permitted. Pilgrim Catering provide The Bostonian with a variety of fresh hot meals. Pilgrim Catering have been awarded the Gold Food Safety Award by Boston Borough Council. The award states that "An inspection of the above business found excellent standards of hygiene and management and has therefore been given the gold award". Pilgrim Catering have also been approved as a Food Business Establishment under EC regulation No. 853/2004. This means that the catering assurance policies and hygiene practices are of a standard to deliver prepared food anywhere within the European Community.

We deal with all the major insurance companies including BUPA, AXA PPP, Norwich Union, Standard Life, First Assist, CIGNA, BCWA, WPA. We offer fixed price packages for the uninsured, which cover ALL costs relating to in-patient care including consultant fees.
