General Surgery

The General Surgery Department within Lincolnshire’s hospitals provides assessment, investigation, treatment and follow-up for all surgical conditions.

The service is provided by a multi-disciplinary team including consultants, nurses and diagnostic staff, radiology and oncology. There exists a patient centred ethos of care.

There are nine colorectal surgeons within the team, five vascular surgeons and one paediatric surgeon.

The services are provided out of Grantham and District Hospital, Lincoln County Hospital, County Hospital, Louth, Pilgrim Hospital, Boston and John Coupland Hospital, Gainsborough from outpatients, theatres, day surgery units, endoscopy units, critical care units, wards and diagnostic facilities.
