Clinical Oncology
Clinical oncology is the non-surgical management of malignant disease, using both radiotherapy and systemic therapy.
The clinical oncology speciality in Lincolnshire’s hospitals is divided into sub-specialities by tumour site. The major tumour sites being breast, lung, colorectal, gynaecology, urology and upper GI (gastrointestinal). Smaller tumour sites include sarcoma, head and neck, skin and CNS.
Each consultant oncologist has special interests. The oncology service is supported by a consultant radiographer.
