Lincoln Chapel

The chaplaincy team provides the hospital with an emergency on-call service and the duty chaplain can be contacted night and day via a member of your healthcare team on the ward.
In non-urgent situations messages can be left on (01522) 573403 (please note these messages may not necessarily be picked up on the same day they are left). The Deputy Senior Chaplain can also be contacted by email (non-urgent matters only).
The team includes:
- Canon Jeremy Pemberton, Deputy Senior Chaplain (jeremy.pemberton@ulh.nhs.uk)
- The Revd Jonathon Timmins
- The Revd Margaret Saunders, and
- The Revd Alison Amelia
Referrals can also be made by email on: chaplaincy.lincoln@ulh.nhs.uk
The hospital chapel is situated on level 2, close to wards, main reception and the shop. The chapel remains open throughout the day and night and is available to patients, their families/carers and staff for times of quiet, prayer and reflection.
Chapel services with Holy Communion take place every Sunday morning at 10.15am. On Sundays our chaplains are supported by a dedicated team of volunteers, who collect patients from the wards and return them after the service - for patients who are unable to attend the chapel service, arrangements for bedside Holy Communion can be made.
Patient requests to attend the chapel service or to receive Holy Communion on the ward should be made either in advance of admission to hospital or via a member of your healthcare team on the ward. The chaplaincy service also offers special services such as the naming and blessing of babies; anointing and prayers for healing and services/prayers at the end of life.
