The chaplaincy team provides the hospital with an emergency on-call service and the duty chaplain can be contacted night and day via any healthcare professional on the ward.

The team includes:

The hospital chapel is situated on the ground floor near the entrance to the maternity block and the stairs to wards 1 and 2. The chapel remains open throughout the day and night and is available to patients, their families/carers and staff for times of quiet, prayer and reflection.

Although there is no chapel service on a Sunday, there is an ecumenical service of Holy Communion each Tuesday at 10am. A team of dedicated chapel volunteers collect patients for the service and return them to the wards once the service has finished. Arrangements can also be made for patients who would like to receive Holy Communion on the ward or at their bedside.

Chaplains are also available to administer anointing and prayers for healing, as well as special blessing services at the end of life.
