The hospital chapel is situated on the ground floor. Please follow the signs past the lift area to pathology and the chapel is on the left-hand side. The chapel is open throughout the day and night and is available to patients, their families/carers and staff for times of quiet, prayer and reflection. Please do visit the chapel: we are sure you will agree it is a very special place and contains some particularly beautiful items.

Chapel services take place on a Sunday morning at 10am. These services are either Holy Communion or Services of Readings and Prayers (specific details upon request). On Sundays our chaplains are ably supported by volunteers who collect patients from the wards and return them after the service. Please do remember to inform your nurse if you would like to attend the chapel service on a Sunday morning. Patients in beds can be accommodated in the chapel, but please note that we do not have facilities for oxygen use. A Holy Communion service is celebrated on Wednesdays at 12 noon, on request.

The chaplaincy service also offers special services such as the naming and blessing of babies; ward or bedside Holy Communions for those unable to attend chapel; anointing and prayers for healing and services/prayers at the end of life.
