Hello and welcome to the chaplaincy department (chaplaincy and bereavement services) at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust.

The chaplaincy department (chaplaincy and bereavement services) has the responsibility of providing for the pastoral, religious and spiritual care of all patients, their relatives and carers, as well as the staff on all hospital sites. We are there for all people of any faith or none.

Pastoral and spiritual care is an integral part of the holistic care provided within our hospitals. The chaplaincy teams are dedicated to the support and wellbeing of all who work within the hospitals. If you would like a visit from one of the chaplains whilst you are in hospital, then either make a referral in advance of your admission to hospital or ask a member of your healthcare team on the ward to contact a chaplain on your behalf.

In addition, chapel and prayer room facilities are available for quiet prayer and reflection on each of the hospital sites. Although we currently provide rooms which have been dedicated for Christian worship, we are pleased to welcome people of all faiths and none, who wish to use these areas for personal times of quiet, prayer and reflection. These areas are open to all, day and night.

The work of the department is led by Revd Tim Couchman, Trust-wide Senior and Managing Chaplain. The operation of the chaplaincy teams on each site is managed by Canon Jeremy Pemberton, Deputy Senior Chaplain.

If you have questions or comments concerning any aspect of the service provided by this department, please don't hesitate to contact either of them.
